Nebraska; Over the years I beleive we(I work at a Salvage yard, I.H./Farmall tractors only) have tried every kind of marker and found each to be left wanting, either by plugged tips, too large of bead(for small parts),drying out Etc.. Somehow we found a wonderful paint marker probably by accident. It is white only but has a very fine mark which is excellent for marking small parts yet visible enough to be easily seen on large parts. It is fast drying and small to carry(like a magic marker)and you shake the internal ball bearing to mix the paint. The applicator tip is metal so stands up to rough surfaces better than plastic or felt. You can easily carry it in your pocket. And what is this marker originally used for you might ask? Why it is a white out correction pen made to fix typing errors. Yep, I'm not lying! The type we have been using are the PRESTO! correctional pens made by PENTEL. They cost about $2-2.60 but I have not seen them in all stores. Usually Staples or some other office supply store should stock them. Try it out!
