Leland, Are you talking about the 400 that was located Sw of Charleston Il? If so, I was at the sale and it only bought $1150.00. Other than missing the orignal seat and IH emblem on the nosecone it was complete. The engine was also a 281 which is a 450 engine. When I looked at the tractor earlier in the week, the hoodsides were no where to be found and the showed up at the sale. I was with John A about the estimated worth of the 400 so it was not too far off. What really struck me as bringing a lot of money is the John Deere A next to it brought $2700.00. I have seen fully restored running tractors sell around $3000.00.
