I suspect that your trouble with the hood latches can be quickly resolved with new springs & hooks. If you want to try something first, try lubricating the springs a lot for a few days, if that doesn"t work then Ebay has these cheap. I think that the M"s came with either type of pulley, my "51 H has a paper pulley, and if you have your grandpa"s there to put on, i"m sure that"d be just fine! ---Jeff
