Chuck, Crankcase capacity for your "A" is 5 qts. You should have two diamond shaped check ports on the left side of the oil pan, one slightly higher than the other. You turn these counter clockwise to open them to check the oil. Oil should drip out of the hole in the bottom of the "petcock". If oil drips out of the top one, oil level is okay...doesn't drip from the top one but does drip from the lower one when opened idicates you're about a quart low. No oil out of the bottom one you better add some oil! (If you change the filter during an oil change (recommended) you should recheck the oil level after a warm-up period as some oil will be retained in the oil filter assembly. FB
