Kelly, I have to agree with the guys that say fuel flow. Get yourself a 12-oz can and a stopwatch. Remove the plug from the bottom of the carb bowl, and time how long it takes to fill the can. Without going and looking, I would say that the 460 burns around 5 gallons per hour under full load. Now do the math. If you can't flow that much fuel, it won't run right. Also, have you checked for vaccuum leaks yet? The engines in that family, not so much your six-cylinder, but especially the four-cylinder C-200, are famous for it. Before pulling the head, I would take the tractor to a shop and have the engine leak-down tested. This is basicaly a process of putting air pressure to each cylinder with the piston at TDC compression stroke, and seeing what percentage of the pressure leaks out. During this test, you can listen through the intake and exhaust, and you will hear the air leak if there is a burned valve. Same with the radiator, you can look for air bubbles. This family of engines will burn valves all the time unless IH Low-Ash oil is used.
