#1 There are many possibilities but my guess since you say there was no antifreeze in the cylinders is that there is a crack somewhere on the bottom of the block or behind one of the sleeves themselves. Pull the pan and look for antifreeze hanging on the inside of the block. If you don’t find anything, then take the head off and have it checked by a reputable machine shop. The leak is definately inside your engine somewhere. #2 The lockup was very likely caused by the antifreeze. Antifreeze is sticky, and will seep into bearings and other metal mating surfaces. I would suggest you disassemble the engine, have it cooked out at a machine shop to eliminate any possibility of antifreeze in oil galleys, determine where the leak was, and then reassemble with new bearings on the crankshaft and camshaft. Since you will have it apart, I would consider a valve grind and new rings at least if not a major overhaul. Good luck!
