The only completely mounted mower ever used on offset Farmalls was the A-16. That mower was bolted solid to rear of tractor and only mower bar was lifted. In the case of the A hand lever and SA by linkage to hydraulics. The top shaft on the A-16 mower lined up perfect with pto on an offset. The C, H and M versions of the 16 mower had the top shaft mounted about 1' to the right. Since these mowers were belt drive to the pitman crank, the top shaft could be placed to suit the tractor.

Most of those A-16 mowers I've seen were 5' cutter bar. Many of those tractors operated semi-mounted mowers with 7' cutter bar for years. I would tend to look for an older IH semi-mount, they can be mounted so drive shaft is straight line.
