There is no bushing in there, the cast iron fan bearing rotates around the spindle. It's lack of oil that kills them. If you find a boneyard assy. that spins free with no wobble, buy it. Its a much more robust design than the aftermarket (Chinese) units which use two pretty wimpy sealed bearings. See my fix http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4045430&a=30303574&p=61410334
