Raise tractor until front wheels are a inch or 2
off ground,back nut that holds gear on until top is even with top of shaft,I lay a flat piece of metal on nut,then hit it square with a big sledge
hammer.The less you have to hit it the better.
Most times 1 or 2 times will do it.If you have wide front this wont work.
