Spelling ain"t the issue. You asked "magneto or generator" which makes no sense. You can have either, neither, or BOTH, because they"re in two completely different places on the tractor and serve two completely differnet purposes. The magneto makes the spark plugs spark. It"s on the side of the engine, out in the open. You can either have a magneto or a battery ignition. The generator charges the battery. It"s up under the hood. I"d dare say that every Super H came with a generator. A few probably have been converted to 12V where the owner installed an alternator in place of the generator. This will be OBVIOUS if you look. If there"s a thing that looks like the alternator in your car up under the hood, you have an alternator.
