I got on my 49 Super A a few weeks ago and somehow it would not go into reverse to back it out of the shed. Then all of a sudden it got to easy to move around and I could tell it was not engaging any of the gears. I opened up the box to see what was the matter, but only found that the bottom of the gear shift lever had slipped off the gear shifters. I thought that maybe it was worn down, so I had a machine shop weld on some new metal for me. Well this didn"t work either, after I put it back together, she popped out again. Now that my story is over, does anyone in IH land have any ideas to help me out, because I am stuck in 1st gear, without opening the gear box to change the gears by hand. Thanks alot,
