If you have access to an impact wrench, I found it much easier to remove the steering wheel nut with one. I own an electric impact from Sears, I held the steering wheel with one hand and let the wrench do the work. As posted further down, I neeeded a puller for my steering wheel once I got the nut off. It was ON there!
