Chuck: The main reason I questioned the model number was never having heard of a 2405, nor could I find it in any reference material I had. You just raised a good point, that being a possible 2400 or 240. What does the tractor have for an engine? Should be C-123, C-135 0r C-153 cast into block. Engine serial will be stamped on a machined flat surface under number 1 plug. We need to get this model number right before tractor serial number will help much. The ballasted coil is one not needing a ballast resistor, it being built right into coil. I have those on two of my tractors.
