I've had the same problem. I did damage the piston but was able to get just one replacement piston from a good salvage yard. The sleeve cleaned up well and with a new set of rings the tractor went back together. I turned the engine upside down on wood blocks and pounded the piston and sleeve out with a big hammer and a length of pipe. Once the sleeve and piston were out I heated the outside of the sleeve and the piston then came out of the sleeve without damage. Good luck with it. Bob
