Sorry if I jumped the gun but knowing must have set you mind at ease. It is funny that you ended up with two carbs with the same problem, not to mention one that you would expect to "just work". Money, it seems to go to quickly. I've got a MF #32 mower that I'm getting ready for field work. It wasn't in bad condition, but once you start pulling things a part it just seems to make sense to replace the parts that are still serviceable, but not for that long. In the end I'll have pretty close to new (well, new it 1950s terms) mower that's still going to save me money over a brand new one. I guess that's part of the fun playing with this old stuff. The satisfaction when your done pays dividends, that is seat time is worth it's weight in gold. ;-) K
