Farmal H Clutch Problem

I just noticed that my H clutch was not completely disengaging when the petal was pushed in. I tried to adjust the rod like the manual said so that there was the 1 inch of free play at the pedal. The problem got worse. I how have it adjusted the other way. No free play and the rod is almost all the way to the end. It does disengage and doesn’t slip but I am afraid that I have constant pressure on the throw out bearing. Any suggestions on how to adjust this or what to do? HELP!!
