Check belts.A good pump should stall and slip
a tight belt when steering is turned to limits
left & right.
It sounds like you have a steering gear problem.A scuffed-galled worm and wheel in steering case or ball brg. on end of shaft will
cause this.Remove worm shaft,clean&check. These
aftermarket units worked very good and were put
on many makes of tractors.
