GL1 or GL5 gear oil???

I was reading on another board ( Please forgive me) that JD's like GL1 gear oil and have a problem with GL5. I was wondering, would a Farmall H also have this problem? I was planning on using IH 85-140 GL5 in my H and 154 final drives. Thanks!!
