Super A Hydraulics.

Here's my problem, I had a leak in the pump. Thought at first the body was cracked. Pulled the pump off, and when I did the mesh gear and nut fell off in my hand, only one thread holding it on. The shaft and the gear are worn egg shaped.
First of all, does anyone know if these are still available?
Can anyone think of any problem with running the tractor without the gear in place, as long as I close up the system without the gear?
