Like several of us have said, pop the top of the tranny and have a look see. It doesn't seem likely that you would lose all four gears.

Still betting on the clutch.

If the problem is in the transmission or the clutch and not the shift mechanism you are going to have to split the tractor. I would not split two tractors to make one. Man that's a lot of extra work - twice the hoisting equipment, and take up a lot of space.

Just my opinion.
