When I rebuilt my tractor engine, I bought a gasket kit that included the rear main seal. When I assembled the engine, the seal was a loose fit around the crank. I tried to find a seal listing at the time, but had to buy another complete set with no assurances that the seal would fit any better. When I ran the engine, I found the tractor would leak at idle, but with higher RPMs the oil would stop leaking. Since I use it with a Danco/IH 60" belly mower, I use everything the it has and do not spend any time at idle except to shut it down. Now I see from TM tractor parts there is a R1 and an R2 seal. Could this be the problem? That I was supplied the seal for the housing/crank that I DON'T have? Thanks in advance. Bob
