Besides turning up the pump, I believe those old diesels are kinda hard to soup up. The heads on these tractors are a nightmare and its tough to put in bigger valves ect. and get the heads to hold up. I have heard of a couple of guys who have put turbos on them. I even saw a M diesel converted to gas for pulling at a recent IH show. On this tractor, the injectors were removed and spark plugs were down in there somewere and there was a BIG offenhouser carb hanging on it. The owner was, no doubt, taking advantage of the 5 main bearing block and larger journal diameters. This was a true hotrod Farmall!
