Hi Don, We had 4 of those Ramblers in the family. Ours was a station wagon, My dad had a 1961 Classic sedan, my sister had a 1960 Rambler American and my former brother-in-law had a 1959 wagon too. He took to it to England in 1960, he was recalled to active duty by the Air Force in 1950. The worst thing about these cars were the rear axle bearings failing and then spinning and undercutting the axle. I put several in my wagon and 1 in my dad's. Had to replace the axles. My sister's Rambler had a generator too. Generators were usually trouble free. A lot of tractor owners screwed up by using a negative ground instead of the positive ground that were on the earlier tractors and cars. Good Luck, Hal
