I am restoring a 46 A right now and decided to take everything apart, clean out the old oil and grease, replace any bearings that were bad, and replace all oil seals and gaskets. I have now gotten the rear end put back together, but since I stripped the paint and sand blasted the cast parts while they were off, it"s hard to tell how much time it is taking (forever it seems). The A is a small tractor and pretty light, so horsing the parts about is much easier than the bigger tractors. That saves time. By the way, you can't do it without a shop manual and a parts manual.
