Hydraulic Oil Leak

My 43 H runs great (although I wanna do a 12-volt conversion. The hydraulics work great on the IH No. 31 loader, but I can't seem to keep hydraulic fluid in the darn thing. I'll admit a bit of the leak stems from a worn hydraulic line, but it seems to be coming out from underneath the tractor somewhere. It gets down to a certain level and stays there, and then the loader will only lift about four feet off the ground. With the reservoir filled to the full-mark on the dipstick, the loader will lift up about seven or eight feet. Why am I losing oil and how hard is it to fix? Thanks!
