Do the brakes work right? If the brakes on these tractors disintegrate, the linings turn to sludge and wind up in the hydraulic pump intake screen and block flow to the pump. When the tractor is shut off, enough of it will fall off to let the hydraulics work again. Running the tractor stirs everything up and the screen plugs again. I think the temperature may be a coincidence if this is what's happening.

Another possibility is a thermal relief valve. The old C and Super C touch control systems had this, if the fluid got too hot the system would not work. I don't know if the 574 has one, I don't think they are common in newer equipment.
