That hurts, man. I just bought a 53 Super M and there's antifreeze draining into the oil. I'm hoping head gasket, and at this point it seems likely. I don't know what kind of pistons you have in that tractor, but the 281 and LP head was a super common power procedure. It will handle that compression, that is what the head was designed to do. I bet you will crank one heck of a lot of power out of er when you complete the job. Good luck and keep us posted.
