You guys are good. There is an indentation there, an "imprint" if you will. I sanded the top with 280 and there it was.

Have any idea what the repro box sells for. I had to ante up 65 dollars for this one at a farm auction
but is isw in perfect condition with both the clips and zero rusting or pits or wear inside, looks like it was never used on a tractor. Just a bunch of pigeon sh-- on the lid where it must have been stored in a hay loft or some such place.
