Hi, I've never used a reground cam, but I used a lot of reground crankshafts. Never had any problems with any of them. Here's a toll free number for a company that makes cams and regrinds them too. The number is 1-800-248-0134,ext4204 and ask for Bob. The company is Wolverine Blue Racer and they sell performance cams. They make genuine GM restoration parts camshafts for General Motors. I used one of their cams in an engine that I had to have bored oversize. I don't think you'll have any problems with a reground cam. I would use new valve springs. Good Luck, Hal
