You have more to worry about than the seat. Kids and tractors don't mix. About 3 months ago, in Wichita, KS, a city transplant (ie, knows nothing about tractors), was bushhogging with a Ford tractor (I think 8N or later). Hit a bump, kid fell off and got shredded by the mower. Forgive the gruesomeness, I'm trying to make a point. The guy has to live with that the rest of his life.
