I just pressed an old W6 into service and love it. I always used the row crops and thought those W's were for the old guys, but I'm loving it. It runs my irrigation pump and pulls the spreader. I ploughed last week with it and my SM. Pulled very similar. Considering the M and W6 have the same engine but different wheels I think the M may take her, but the front wheels stay planted better under heavy loads. I just looked in my data books and could'nt find a weight for the W6, but I would think she's as much as 1000 lb.s more than the M. Hey to get back to the original question...be sure your oil line is clear before you throw that gauge over shoulder but they are often goofy. Just too bad you did'nt take it back sooner.
