I am now the "proud" owner of a 455 planter. Anybody out there in IH land know anything about these? I got a seed plate out and would like to know what it is. The part # is 489112R1 and it is a 24 cell. I guess I could visit the local dealer 10 miles away but this is more fun. It is a 4 row with dry fertilizer boxes that are rusted out. Someone has taken decent care of it until recently it has set outside. The biggest drawback I see is that it has pieces of flat steel for markers instead of disks. I have been around mostly Oliver and White equipment but Dad has aquired some red equipment the past few years.
