Repriming oil pump

Hi, I restored a 1948 Farmall Cub. I did a complete rebuild on the C60 motor. The tractor has been runnig good all summer but know I am having problems with the oil pressure. The oil pressure starts out on the high side but after the tractor starts getting hot the oil pressure will not hold. I've never heard of priming an oil pump after a rebuild. Is it possable to go back and reprime the pump or is it a sign of a bad pump??? If this is a bad oil pump, where could I find a rebuild kit or are you better off with a new pump?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Bill
