It's a pretty tough call to place a value on something I can't see, and I'm not sure it would be fair to do so. Let me ask a question, along with the tractors your friend had, did he also have an assortment of spare parts? If so, I think your best answer here would be to contact an auction company in your area. Be sure to find one that specializes in old tractors, machinery, etc. This is usually the most fair way for both seller and buyer.
