M vs. H fan removal

Is there any difference in procedure in removing an M's fan vs. H's fan? I have an M and have since removed the radiator, belts and now want to remove the fan. I have driven out the water pump driver pin but am unable (yet) to remove the water pump driver. I have tried loosening the driver's two spring loaded bolts but doing that only seems to make the driver recede toward the engine not loosen. Does the driver slide off over the end of the water pump shaft bushing or does the bushing itself also come out with the driver? The end of the bushing seems flanged...
