My old 450 had a Behlen pump with pretty much the same set up. The Key way on the coupler had become worn so bad that you could feel the slop in the steering wheel. I found a good coupler at a salvage yard and that took care of the problem. Besure to keep the bolt on the coupler tight so it can't wear from being loose. I'll bet that was one of these Holy S$#T moments! Good thing you wern't starting down a Hill with a full wagon.
