J Allen: Just about every IH tractor from the 60s would have used that serial number at some point. Can you describe some charistics of the tractor. How many speeds does transmission have? Any numbers off the engine? Block casting number will end in R1, R2, R3, etc. Could have C-123 or C-135. Any and all? Do the lines or bars in grill go vertical or horizontal? Is pto live or transmussion driven? Are rear wheels cast or pressed steel? Answers to some or all of these could ID tractor. Have you looked in Farmall photo gallery? Type in various models, look at examples of each. Try 404, 504, 240, 340, etc. Posting a photo of what you have would be another option.
