Wet spark plugs: if they smell like gasoline, you have a flooded condition. If the plugs are wet with oil, there are more serious thngs to consider.
Take some carb cleaner or brake cleaner and dry the plugs or get new plugs.
With the switch in "off" position and plugs removed, crank the engine to get rid of excess fuel then squirt some motor oil in the cylinder.
Crank the engine again to restore lost compression.
Reinstall the plugs & try again. Be sure the wires are attached in correct sequence and timing is set.
Is the gasoline fresh?? Old gas will not allow the engine to start easily but will run (sort of) once it fires up. 1 month storage is about the limit for gasoline with today"s fuel. Buy small quantities & use it up soon.
