Gary, Dzeus fasteners are sort of like quick couplers but are used to hold sheet metal parts, and allow easy removal. They require a 1/4 turn to either fasten or unfasten. The 39 and 40 Farmalls uses them. Maybe even some very early 41"s but I doubt it. Rather than the "J" hooks, there were four Dzeus bolts with screwdriver slits on the lower four corners of the hood. These went into dedicated recievers, two on the gas tank, and two on the radiator shroud. The later gas tanks did not have these recievers, as they were modified to accept the "J" hooks. The three bolts you refer to on the bottom of the gas tank are mounting bolts for the gas tank itself and have nothing to do with hood fastener issue. If you do have the "J" hooks on the hood and that hood was the mate to the gas tank, then the buyer who has a 1940 model may not be able to use the gas tank you have unless his is "J" hook equipped. A phone call may save a potential problem.
