How fast do want to go?? As with any form of hot-rodding, speed costs money. It'll be easier and lots cheaper to simply open up the governor and let it howl! We used to pull a 3-14 plow in 4th gear with our SM until we decided that it was too much pain to keep replacing the pilot bearing on the transmission shaft, and went back to using 3rd gear.
