Yep, MFD is "Mechanical Front wheel Drive". At least that's what I've seen them called in the advertisements, so that's how I typed it. I've seen other letter designations that mean the same thing like "FWA" for "Front Wheel Assist" I think. In reality, regardless of the letters, I usually just call 'em all "four wheel drives". :)
