Warren - You sure NAPA didn't sell him #1156 (12 volt) instead of #1133 (6 volt) lamps? They look identical. And an 1156 will light, though will be dim when operated on 6 volts. Incidentally both lamp numbers are rated at 32 candlepower when burned at their design voltage. If you indeed have #1133 lamps, another possibility for dim lights is a bad ground or a poor connection somewhere.
