You had another choice you could have had your influencial friends wrangle you one of those coveted national guard fighter pilot slots. When you got bored you could have your friends arrange for a transfer to Alabama, show up to have your teeth fixed, not take your required physical and skedaddle out 2 years early to go to Yale (never mind taxpayers had huge investment in your training). I am no fan of Kerry think we have two bad choices.
