Did you end up buying that tractor from Australia?
I think you would have had some fun with it. Of course you realise we have the same problem down under with tractors imported from north of the equator. Turn left, go right, PTO backward, all bolts left hand thread. We even have to connect the battery with the opposite polarity because electrons flow backwards here.
As for your current problem, Redfan may be able to help you as he has tractors from both north and south of the equator.
