Farmall 300 Hydraulics

The pump on our 300 is starting to go. It doesn't lift anything on the fast hitch anymore, gets very hot after start up, usually 10-15 minutes after. And now it has started to leak bad out the rear of the housing, with some going to the points and cap. How big of a job is it to replace? Should I replace it with a new one, or rebuild this one? Someone once told me they don't hold togehter if you rebuild them. Any advice would be nice. Thanks
