it could be the coil, but before changing any parts it's a good idea to check for the real problem. A little late now so much harder to do. Parts get expensive after changing evrything. First did you check to see that the points were operating properly? check point gap? check for spark there first. then move back from there. if you had spark before it isn't likely to be gone now, just something out of whack. also check wires into and inside distributor to be sure there are none bare or rubbing on metal and that you reinstalled insulating washers properly on distributor connection.
