The 4.21.T indicates that the engine block was cast on April 21, 1950. A J=1940, K=1941, etc. They used both U and V for 1951, Z=1954 and then they started the alphabet over again in 1955 with an A. The serial number tag probably got knocked off/removed over the years. I'm not sure about the M's but my C has the serial number embossed on a flat machined spot right below #1 spark plug.
