I don't see that those newer style plugs would hurt anything. Whether they would help is another thing. If they do as advertised (which is a BIG if), you would get more efficient combustion, so more power on less fuel theoretically...but we don't know if it would raise the combustion temps. Are you currently having plug problems..?? Maybe a hotter or colder plug will help. Some of the new plugs use different metals like copper and platinum. This actually works, but all it does is slow down erosion of the electrode. Gee
