The difference is 8 inches total rear width, 4 inches on each side.
The differential shaft housing on each side of a B is about 22 inches, on a BN they are each 18 inches for 8 inches total. There are a few other different parts to accomidate this difference such as, drawbar width, seat mountings and pedal guard width, but both were available with single or double front wheels, both share the engine, transmission, differential and final drives with the A.
