You often wonder what happens to those goofy prototypes. Our local IH dealer a few years ago had a prototype tractor that had an 88 rearend and cab but had an 86 series front end with no numbers and markings some farmer came in and bought it. Up to a few years ago I used to see it around. I remember looking it over and I think it had prototype stamped in the serial number plate. I had to laugh because someone is going to get on this website and say I've got this tractor and everyone will say he's crazy there was no such thing.
